Reasons/basis

This notification relates to a Decision to lodge disciplinary proceedings before the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal. This is an independent Tribunal which will reach its own decision after considering all the evidence, including any evidence put forward by the Solicitor. The Tribunal has certified that there is a case to answer in respect of allegations which are or include that, while in practice as a solicitor:-

1. On 10 July 2023, signed and included her details on a deed to confirm that she was present as a witness when another signature was made on the deed, when she knew or ought to have known that including her signature and details on the deed was misleading;
2. On or around 10 July 2023, sent, or caused to be sent, the deed to other parties purporting that it was a properly and validly executed deed to be relied on; and
3. Did not inform her employer, until 24 July 2023, that she had signed the deed as a witness, contrary to the instructions given to her by a partner.

The allegations are subject to a Hearing before the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal and are as yet unproven.
