Warning: Certified documents misusing the name of Adina-Leigh Collins and Grant Saw Solicitors LLP

14 January 2026

Certified documents have been sent misusing the name of a genuine solicitor and law firm.

What is the scam?

The SRA has seen copies of an energy bill and driver's license that have been certified as being true and correct copies of the originals.

The stamp used to certify the documents is in the name of 'Grant Law Solicitors' and misuses the name of a genuine solicitor 'Adina -Leigh Collins'. The stamp also misuses the address and contact number of a genuine firm (see below).

Is there a genuine firm or person?

The SRA authorises and regulates a genuine firm of solicitors called Grant Saw Solicitors LLP (SRA ID 509874) based at Ground Floor, Wood Wharf Building, 34 Horseferry Place, London, SE10 9BB. The firm’s genuine telephone number is 0208 858 6971.

The SRA also authorises and regulates a genuine solicitor called Adina-Leigh Collins who is employed as a solicitor at the genuine firm (details above).

The genuine firm has confirmed that neither it nor Adina-Leigh Collins has any connection to the documents referred to above.

The SRA does not authorise or regulate a firm called Grant Law Solicitors.

What should I do?

When a firm's or individual's identity has been copied exactly (or cloned), due diligence is necessary. If you receive correspondence claiming to be from the above firm(s) or individual(s), or information of a similar nature to that described, you should conduct your own due diligence by checking the authenticity of the correspondence by contacting the law firm directly by reliable and established means. You can contact the SRA to find out if individuals or firms are regulated and authorised by the SRA and verify an individual's or firm's practising details. Other verification methods, such as checking public records (e.g. telephone directories and company records) may be required in other circumstances.
