An email has been sent misusing the name of Lawrence Kurt Solicitors Limited in relation to a supposedly alleged interference with property management arrangements.

What is the scam?

The SRA has been informed that an email has been sent to an organisation purporting to be from 'Lawrence Kurt' on behalf of a genuine firm of solicitors (see genuine details below). The email is in relation to a supposedly alleged interference with property management arrangements.

The email was sent using the email address 'office@lawrencekurt.uk'.

Any business or transaction through the email address mentioned above is not undertaken by a firm or individual authorised and regulated by the SRA.

Is there a genuine firm or person?

The SRA authorises and regulates a genuine firm of solicitors by the name of Lawrence Kurt Solicitors Limited (SRA ID 655118). The genuine firm uses the email domain @lawrencekurtsolicitors.co.uk.

The genuine Lawrence Kurt Solicitors Limited has confirmed that it has no connection to the email referred to in the above alert.

What should I do?
