Warning: Emails misusing the names of Victoria Corey, Jordan Wilson and KJD Law Ltd

Emails have been sent misusing the names of Victoria Corey, Jordan Wilson and KJD Law Ltd.
What is the scam?
The SRA has seen an email purporting to be from solicitor Victoria Corey from KJD Law Ltd. The email is about a revised document for a Plot. The message was sent from clinton@designbyrabbit.com. The message provides the name of Victoria Corey including her signature.
A further email was sent from another member of the firm, Jordan Wilson using the email address 'jordan.wilson@kjdlaws.co.uk' and his signature. (Note the incorrect spelling of 'kjdlaws' in the domain name.) The email concerned a property purchase, asked if funds were ready to transfer, and said that bank details would be provided upon confirmation.
Any business or transactions through these email addresses are not undertaken by a firm or individual authorised and regulated by the SRA.
Is there a genuine firm or person?
The SRA authorises and regulates a firm of solicitors called KJD Law Ltd with SRA ID 8004130 and a genuine solicitor called Victoria Corey with SRA ID 507314.
Jordan Wilson is employed at the firm as it's Head of Business.
Victoria Corey and Jordan Wilson have confirmed they do not have any connection to the emails referred to in the above alert.
What should I do?
When a firm's or individual's identity has been copied exactly (or cloned), due diligence is necessary. If you receive correspondence claiming to be from the above firm(s) or individual(s), or information of a similar nature to that described, you should conduct your own due diligence by checking the authenticity of the correspondence by contacting the law firm directly by reliable and established means. You can contact the SRA to find out if individuals or firms are regulated and authorised by the SRA and verify an individual's or firm's practising details. Other verification methods, such as checking public records (e.g. telephone directories and company records) may be required in other circumstances.
